Independent Study Seminar
Learning is exchanging ideas. We actually learn best when we share ideas with other people. While talking about what we know, we technically test ourselves if we truly understand what we are talking about. If we cannot make the listeners understand the message the way we want them to, then we are not clear about the issues ourselves. That is why we need a learning platform where people get together and talk about what they know. Although Independent Study (IS) is the thing that one can do alone, such study can never yield a good result without discussions with peers and/or experts in the fields.
On July 2, 2022, Chiang Rai Campus organized a seminar on Independent Study for 40 students majoring in Curriculum and Instruction. The aim is to help students to improve their independent study projects.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Wilaiporn Rittikoop, Vice Dean for Academics and Educational Innovation, College of Education, University of Phayao, together with other faculty members, followed up and kindly gave advice to students who presented the progress report of their independent study projects on that day.
Upon completion of their projects, the students are expected to produce quality papers to publish in academic journals or to present at conferences with proceedings.
