VDO Editing Workshop
Digital Age like the present time has brought a whole lot of challenges and excitement to spice our life. We have learned many things, far and near, above and below, through the creative applications of digital devices. As a matter of fact, we have used digital or electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartphones, laptops, and tablets to create, send, share, or process limitless information. Communication or getting a message across from the sender to the receiver is then the creative end result of having digital devices. As video clip is one of those communication tools that can definitely help us to communicate with light and sound that can convey clear message and excite the viewers, it has become one of the tools for Chiang Rai Campus to rely on, particularly when it comes to communication with our stakeholders.
On August 30, 2022, Chiang Rai Campus, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tipchan Wongchanta, Director, held a workshop on “The 3rd Technology Development Project,” with the aim to empower and maximize the skills of its staff members in video making. Creative use of digital devices to shoot, edit, and present VDO was the main topics of the workshop.
The workshop was divided into 2 sessions. The morning session was conducted by Mr. Karunwinat Wongchaimoon, a lecturer and freelance photographer. The topics of discussions covered current tools for VDO making, picture composition, camera angle, and creative VDO shooting techniques.
Chiang Rai Campus had an honor from Mr. Piphat Muen-Hong, specialist teacher from Chedi Luang Phitthayakhom School, to conduct the afternoon session at the Media Production Learning Space (MPLS), Chiang Rai Campus. The topics of discussions included storyboard writing, VDO file preparation, audio description, VDO editing, insertion of effects and transition effects, file sharing, and the appropriate presentation of the finished VDO.
