Wisdom Gained

“Wisdom Springs from Lived Experience” is the current educational philosophy of University of Phayao. This beautifully captures the essence of education as it stresses the significance of hands-on experiences as a gateway to practical knowledge and, subsequently, life-nurturing wisdom. 

On April 1, 2023, faculty, staff, and 1st-year students of Educational Administration major, Chiang Rai Campus (37 persons in total), visited the Sufficiency Economy Learning Center, Ban Pang Ha, Tambon Khoh Chaang, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province.

The participants had a good opportunity to learn from the Mulberry Paper Base as follows.
     1. How to paint pictures on mulberry paper, after one’s imagination.
     2. How to decorate mulberry paper bags with recycled products, to reduce the use of plastic bags.
     3. How to protect environment with the BCG model
     4. How to make and use ceilk beauty products

The educational excursion was a part of one subject, 176722: Educational Administration According to the King's Science Guidelines. Included in the subject are 6 dimensions of knowledge: 1) soil, 2) water, 3) agriculture, 4) renewable energy, 5) forest, and 6) environment. The knowledge, experience, and, ultimately, wisdom gained from the outing are expected to be used for organizational development in the future.
