Strategic Planning for Academic Year 2024

“A job well-planned is already half done.” To better prepare for success in the upcoming academic year 2024, this timeless truth has been creatively used to ignite and give off positive vibes throughout a professional and highly committed organization like University of Phayao, Chiang Rai Campus included.

On June 4, 2023, Chiang Rai Campus held a workshop on “EdPEx for Strategic Planning” at College of Management, University of Phayo. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tipchan Wongchanta, the Director of Chiang Rai Campus, gave an overview of Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx) and the how to apply its criteria to the 2024 strategic planning of Chiang Rai Campus. 

As far as EdPEx is concerned, there are 7 criteria to focus: 1) leadership, 2) strategic planning, 3) customer and market, 4) measurement, analysis, and knowledge management, 6) human resources, 6) process management, and 7) business result. The focus of the workshop was, however, customer and market. This is to accentuate the fact that a successful higher education like Chiang Rai Campus is the one that well responds to the needs and expectations of students and stakeholders. All activities and projects in 2024 strategic plan must, in other words, never lose sight of customers and educational market. 

Each of the Chiang Rai Campus staff members learned how to apply EdPEx in their respective job, using approach, deployment, learning, and integration (ADLI) and level, trend, comparison, and integration (LeTCI). After small group discussion, the brainstorming and exchanges of ideas among staff members ensued and concluded the workshop.
