SAVE the World
The world has been contaminated with all kinds of pollution that, in return, tragically destroy our health and well-beings. To make the world a better place to live, it is then a must for all of us to cease destroying environment with chemicals; the sooner, the better. Chiang Rai Campus sees this necessity and wishes to join hands with those who are also environmentally friendly in their praiseworthy effort to save the world.
On November 17, 2022, Chiang Rai Campus, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tipchan Wongchanta, Director, had a project called “Wittaya-Ket Chiang Rai Rak Loke” (Chiang Rai Campus Loves/Protects the World). The objectives are to save the world from the use of chemicals, to wisely get rid of dry leaves on campus, and to save the budget from buying fertilizer. In return, the air quality will be improved as the smoke from burning dry leaves decreases. The Project also supports the UN SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, SDG 13: Climate Action) as well as Thailand’s BCG Economy Model.
Chiang Rai Campus had an honor from Ms. Bussaba Anujornphan, agricultural academician, experienced level, from Chiang Rai Land Development Office to give lecture and conduct a workshop at Chiang Rai Campus. The topics included making composting, bio fermented water, and bio insect repellent.
