Water Rescue Training

During May 1-19, 2023, Chiang Rai Campus had an opportunity to serve a group of 40 water rescuers from Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, Chiang Rai Provincial Administrative Organization. 

Ms. Atitathorn Wanchaithanawong, President of Chiang Rai Provincial Administrative Organization, presided over the opening ceremony. The main objective of the event is to train rescuers and volunteers from Chiang Rai Province to have advanced skills in water rescue.

Every year, Chiang Rai Campus serves the Chiang Rai Provincial Administrative Organization with training space and accommodation throughout the training period. This is to materialize the mission of University of Phayao as an area-based and community university. This also reflects the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s), SDG 17: Partnership for the Goal, in particular.
